X Defend Gear Stick Lock LT77 for Land Rover Defender

X Defend Gear Stick Lock LT77 for Land Rover Defender is a purpose-built mechanical security device designed for earlier LT77 and LT85 gearboxes. Constructed from high‑strength 3.25mm wall CDS tube (the same material used for roll cages) and fitted with British-made Lowe & Fletcher lock barrels, this lock delivers durable physical protection against forced removal and tampering.

Installation is quick and user-friendly: a bayonet coupling secures the two halves around the gearstick and transfer lever, locking the vehicle in high range (3rd or 5th gear depending on positioning). The kit includes a security nut to deter unbolting of the gearstick and a lock nut to stop removal of the transfer lever knob. Three adjustable tube positions accommodate vehicle variations; the lock requires the gear lever to be in its factory position.

Fitment notes: fits LT77/LT85 (200Tdi & earlier). If Reverse is next to 1st gear this unit fits; if Reverse is below 5th, use the R380 version. This product will not fit Puma / TDCi vehicles or vehicles with leather or aftermarket aluminium gear knobs.
