4WDrive Steering column lock protector is a machined-steel sleeve for the lock barrel assembly that helps prevent forced removal or breakage of the steering column lock on Land Rover Defenders. The protector is a completely passive device—there is nothing to operate—so it stays fitted to the vehicle and provides continuous (24-hour) passive protection and visible deterrent value. The sleeve is engineered to resist common attack methods used to remove the lock barrel and to reduce the risk of a vehicle being started by simple tools when the original lock is compromised. Installation is permanent; no locking or unlocking actions are required once fitted.
